Kathleen Torres, DDS

Kathleen Torres, DDS, is a skilled and compassionate family dentist practicing at Reality Bites Dental in San Antonio, Texas. She provides general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and orthodontic services to patients of just about every age.

Dr. Torres is originally from Alice, Texas. She received her degree in microbiology from the University of Texas in Austin and then completed her dental training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Patricia, Office Manager

Patricia is a 2003 graduate of San Antonio College of Dental Assisting. After receiving her Registered Dental Assistant Certification, she was motivated to focus on the administrative side of the dental field. She began working at the front desk before advancing to the office manager. Patricia actively continues her dental education through Continuing Education courses. As the office manager of Reality Bites Dental, she is able to address most of your concerns and questions. Patricia has a passion for excellent customer service, and her warm friendly smile is always evident when you walk in. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Kateryna Nechay, DDS, FAGD

Dentist

Dr. Kateryna Nechay was born in Kyiv, Ukraine but moved to Minnesota at the age of 10. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts with a Bachelor of Arts in Physiology and went on to the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She and her husband relocated to San Antonio for his medical residency in 2020.

Dr. Nechay is a skilled and compassionate provider who is comfortable working with patients of all ages. Her patients’ comfort and well-being are top priorities, and she believes they must receive quality care. As an anxious dental patient herself, Dr. Nechay maintains oral sedation privileges to provide the highest level of stress-free care.

Marii Malagayo, DDS

Dentist

Marii Malagayo, DDS, is one of the exceptional dentists practicing at Reality Bites Dental in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Malagayo was born in the Philippines and grew up in Lubbock, Texas. She graduated Magna cum Laude from Texas State University, receiving her Bachelor of Science in biology. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center - San Antonio with a distinction in dental education and teaching honors. Following her doctoral degree, Dr. Malagayo completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program at UT Health - School of Dentistry. During her residency, she received training in many advanced dental procedures, sedation, and complex treatment planning.

Trish, Lead BS RDH

Trish has been with Reality Bites Dental since it was born as an idea. She is a part of the original team that founded our practice. With 7 years of dental assisting experience, she originally was our head dental assistant. Ever the achiever, she later returned to school to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. While in school, she was actively involved in community service and research. There, she graduated as Magna Cum Laude in 2016. Trish has since returned to our office as our full-time dental hygienist.

Stephanie, RDH

Stephanie graduated from The University of Texas at Brownsville in 2003 and has been providing quality care for people ever since! With over 15 years of experience, she understands how important it is to meet patient standards.

She began her career in the Rio Grande Valley and recently moved to San Antonio. Stephanie joined our team in April 2021 and is thrilled to continue caring for smiles in the Alamo City. When Stephanie is out of the office, she is either outdoors enjoying the Texas skies with her son or shopping the day away.

Sienna - Business Assistant, RDA

Siena earned her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in 2024 and recently joined the team, where she assists with front desk operations and instrument sterilization. She is currently a full-time student at The University of Texas at San Antonio, pursuing her education while continuing to grow her career in dentistry. Passionate about healthcare, she enjoys learning new skills and providing a welcoming, positive experience for every patient.

She began her career in the dental field in her home country, where her passion for patient care was ignited. In 2021, Mari made the move to San Antonio, Texas, where she has since expanded her expertise by assisting in a diverse range of dental procedures.
